YouTube influencer attribution breaks when content is watched on a TV.
Brands invest heavily in YouTube creators, but more than half of YouTube viewing happens on TV screens, where links in descriptions can't be clicked and
CTV attribution turns into guesswork. Viewers often see the promotion, grab their phone, and search the brand later or convert through another channel entirely.
When that happens, attribution is lost. The creator gets no credit, paid search or direct traffic takes over, and brands are left paying for sponsorships without being able to clearly prove what revenue those YouTube campaigns actually generated.
